Mildred Mable Ganance

SELKIRK – Mildred Mable Ganance, 80, passed away peacefully in her sleep with her family by her side on Tuesday, February 18, 2014, at the Good Samaritan Nursing Home in Delmar.

Mable was born on October 5, 1933 in Albany and was the daughter of the late Raymond A. and Alice J. (Dayter) Wickham Sr. She married Joseph J. "I love it" Ganance on October 27, 1951; he passed away on December 30, 2013. She was a factory worker for Amfast in Menands for several years before retiring. She enjoyed gardening and camping.

Mable is survived by her loving daughters, Chris (Joe) Breen, Bev (the late John) Gilchrist, Ang (the late Bill) Dutton, and Dee (the late Lou) Caprara; her sister, Jessie Cummins; 8 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother, Raymond Alvin Wickham, Jr. and her sister, Grace Turmel.

The family would like to express their sincere thanks to the staff at Good Samaritan for their compassionate care.

Calling hours will be held Friday at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Road, Colonie from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Interment will follow calling hours at Memory Gardens in Colonie. There will be no service.
