ROTTERDAM, NY – Mildred Simpson, 93, passed away at home on Wednesday, June 15, 2011. Born in Schenectady, she was the daughter of the late Earl and Adeline Teller. Mrs. Simpson had resided in Schenectady for all of her life. Mildred was the beloved wife of the late Harold Simpson. She is the devoted mother of Joan Simpson, Larry (Patti) Simpson and the late Robert, Shirley and Donald Simpson. She is the loving sister of Evelyn (Lawrence) Davenport, Ruth (the late Oren) Thompson, Janet (David) Hollenback, Marjorie (Robert) Patnode, Vivian (Richard) Renus, Ronald (Karen) Teller, Frank Teller and the late Earl, Robert and Richard Teller. Mildred is the cherished grandmother of Robert, Scott, Leighanne, Kathy, Diedra and Sheena. Also surviving are five great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited attend funeral services on Monday at 9:30 a.m. at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie (Rt. 155-south of Central Ave). There will be no calling hours. Interment will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Schenectady. Memorial contributions may be made to Community Hospice of Schenectady, 1411 Union Street, Schenectady, NY 12308 or Alzheimer's Association of Northeastern NY, Pine West Plaza, Bldg. 4, Suite 405, Washington Ave. Ext., Albany, NY 12205 in memory of Mildred Simpson.
