ALBANY – Millie F. Statile passed away on Tuesday February 14, 2006 at the Parkwest Medical Center in Knoxville, TN.
Millie was born in Albany and was the daughter of the late Francesco and Letteria Gioeni Fazio.
Millie worked as a secretary at the NYS Department of Agriculture in Albany for 10 years. She was a communicant of the Church of St. Margaret Mary in Albany, an avid cook and baker and enjoyed knitting and arts and crafts.
Millie was predeceased by her husband Bernard A. Statile; her sisters, Mary Gravina, Angela Sleasman and Josephine Haskins Bruso, and her brother, Sam Fazio.
Millie is survived by her sons, Bernard F. (Michele) Statile of Voorheesville and Donald J. (Michele) Statile of Knoxville, TN; her sister, Gladys (Joseph) Stellato of Loudonville and her precious grandchildren, Julianna and Justin Statile. Nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services will be held at 8:00 Saturday morning at New Comer-Cannon Family Funeral Home 343 New Karner Road, Colonie then the Church of St. Margaret Mary in Albany where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:00. Interment will follow at Memory's Garden in Colonie. Calling hours on Friday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
