East Greenbush -Jones, Milton A. Milt was born on February 8, 1932 in Schodack, NY to the late William Arvel Jones and Evelyn Marion (Church) Jones. Passed away peacefully on December 8, 2022, surrounded by his family, in love and care.



Milt served in the US Army, having been stationed in Berlin,Germany. He was a Journeyman Machinist, employed by Saint Gobain (formerly Norton Company/Behr Manning) in Watervliet for 47 years.



Milt lived a life of adventure, with a drive to constantly learn new things. He was an avid mountain climber, history and nature enthusiast. He climbed the highest peak in every state and was the 33rd documented person to do so as part of the High Pointers Club. Milt also climbed as part of expeditions in the Andes and the Himalayas, having been to Everest Base Camp. His grandchildren were more important to him than life.



Milt is survived by his loving wife of 66 years, Yvonne (Hussey)Jones, son Milton Douglas (Donnalee) Jones, daughter Robin Yvonne (Robert) Gulay, grandchildren Shelby, Brodie and Rory, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, sisters and brother (Margaret (Peggy), Beatrice, Marion and William).



Private services will be held. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you consider a donation to the American Cancer Society, the Fort Ticonderoga Association, or the Wounded Warrior Project.
