Albany – Minerva Adelaide Nichols Amsler passed away Monday June 23, 2008 at The Hospice at Albany Memorial Hospital .
Mrs. Amsler was born in Albany, the daughter of the late Louis Nichols Sr. and Minnie (Petraske) Nichols..
She is survived by her husband Jacob Amsler Jr., her daughters; Nancy Hunt and Marilyn Hull, her granddaughters; Kelly Harp, Melissa Crossen and Kristen Hull, great-grandchildren; Austin and Brianna Harp and sister Violet (Howard) Schramm. Minerva was predeceased by her brother Louis Nichols, Jr.
The funeral service will be held 10:00am Thursday at New Comer-Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd. , Colonie (Rt. 155 south of Central Ave. ). Calling hours will be Wednesday 6:00 to 8:00pm at the funeral home. Entombment will be at Memory's Garden Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society, 260 Osborne Rd. , Loudonville , NY 12211 or Community Hospice of Rensselaer County, 295 Valley View Rd ., Rensselaer , NY 12144 or Shriners Hospital for Children, 516 Carew St., Springfield , MA 01104 .
