Modestine "Moddy" Leggieri

ALBANY - Modestine "Moddy" Leggieri, 87, passed away on Saturday, July 11, 2015 at St. Peter's Hospital.
Moddy was born on November 23, 1927 in Hudson and was the daughter of the late Louis and Columbia Leggieri. She worked for the NY Telephone Co. for 35 years before retiring.
Moddy is predeceased by her brother, Peter Leggieri and survived by her sister, Florence Fitzsimmons; her sister-in-law, Jean Leggieri; one niece, five nephews and several great nieces and great nephews who loved her dearly. She is also survived by her dear friends, Helen Hubert and Rosemary Durett.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m. Saturday, July 18, 2015 at Historic St. Mary's Church, 10 Lodge St., Albany. There will be no calling hours.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Mohawk and Hudson River Humane Society, 3 Oakland Ave, Menands, NY 12204 in memory of Moddy.
