Anastasia Moka Mojoko Ngwa Forteh, 67, of Niskayuna, NY, passed away on 09 May 2021.
She was born to parents Andrew Molunga Moka and Cecilia Efosi Etoma, on 10 October 1953 in Limbe, S. W. Province Cameroon.
She studied Finance at London College and graduated with a Bachelor's degree.
Anastasia Moka worked as a Financier and office/project manager for over 30 years years in different establishments.
After 30 years years of service, she retired from World food program and Union Bank of Cameroon in 2003.
Anastasia enjoyed helping the underprivileged in her local community. She was a philanthropist. She used her knowledge, experience and connections to create an NGO popularly known as the Mokunda Multipurpose Common Initiative Group in Limbe, Cameroon. She helped women and youths to create small businesses and income generating activities that helped support their families financially .
Anastasia Moka met Christopher Ngwa Forteh in 1981. They were married on 11/14/1982 in Limbe, S.W. Province, Cameroon. Together they raised two biological children: Peter Forteh and Clementine Forteh Miller and step daughter Glory Forteh.
Anastasia Moka is survived by Christopher N. Forteh, Spouse, Clementine Forteh Miller (Joel), daughter, Peter Forteh, son, Christy Ekumah (Emmanuel), sister, Anthony Ngale, brother, Emilia Likine, sister, Magdalene Kinge (Samuel), sister, Rebecca Mwambo (Simon), sister and many nieces and nephews .
She was preceded in death by Cecilia Etoma, mother, Andrew Moka, father, Katherine Ngale, sister in law .
The family has entrusted New Comer Cremations & Funerals with the arrangements. A Viewing and funeral service is scheduled for July 10, 2021, 4:00 - 5:00 pm at 343 New Karner Rd, Colonie, NY 12205, with a service beginning at 5:00 pm. A reception will follow at Ramada Plaza, 3 Watervliet Ave Ext, Albany, NY 12206, 6p to 12midnight. Caroline King, funeral director will officiate the ceremony with Deacon Dick Thiessen.
