Mokhtar Gerges, 66, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 23, 2011 at Albany Medical Center Hospital. Mokhtar was born in Egypt to the late Ramzy Gerges and Zakhra Wahba.
Mokhtar is survived by his wife; Aida Takla Gerges, his children; Nevin Ghatas, Nermin Mansour, Eva Abdelmessitz, Mina Gad ans Michael Gad. He is also the father-in-law of, Father Demetrius Mansour.
Funeral services will be Thursday at 12pm at St. Mary & St. George Coptic Orthodox Church of Albany, 820 Madison Ave., Albany. Interment will be at Albany Rural.
