ALBANY, NY – Molla Alula, 91, passed away on Sunday, August 15, 2010. He was born in Ethiopia where he was a businessman, community elder and advisor. He migrated to the United States in 1987. Molla was predeceased by his first wife, Bizunesh Kerse, his second wife, Yeshi Gebre, two sons, three daughters and one grandchild. Surviving are his children: Tej, Genet, Yemen, Tsige, Girma, Mulatu, Mimi, Selam, Felekech, Gabanesh, Asnakech, Zewede and Muna. Also surviving are thirteen grandchildren, one great-grandchild and many nieces, nephews and friends.
Funeral services will be Saturday at 11:00 a.m. at St. George's Antiochian Orthodox Church, (corner of S. Dove St. and St. George Place), Albany. A calling our will precede the service from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at the church. Entombment will be in Memory Gardens, Colonie.
