MAYO, MONA
Mona Mayo, 83, passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 20, 2017 at her home, with her loving family by her side.
Mona was the daughter of the late Raymond Labombard, Sr. and Gladys Kennedy.
Mona was the devoted wife of over 50 years, to the late Peter James Mayo.
She was a certified gemologist for many years; an accomplished singer and music was very important to their families life, and still is. She loved to travel, especially to Vermont and had a lake house on Sacandaga Lake. In addition to her beloved faithful companion, Tyke, her family was the most important thing in her life and their many special times together will be missed.
Mona is survived by her son, James Mayo, her daughter, Robin Mazzone and her son-in-law Felix Mazzone.
A private graveside service was held at Memory Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Montgomery County SPCA, 1007 NY-5S, Amsterdam, NY 12010 in Mona's memory.
