Monet Lynn Birmingham

January 21, 1994 — October 2, 2023

Albany -
Birmingham, Monet Lynn "MoMo", It is with great despair and sorrow that we announce the homegoing of our beloved mother, daughter, sister, niece, cousin, friend and co-worker, on October 2, 2023, at 29 years young has passed away so early in her life.

Monet Lynn Birmingham or as we know her as "MoMo" was welcomed into this world on January 20, 1994, in Brooklyn, New York, Kings County Hospital to her mother Natasha Birmingham and an entire family of loving aunts, uncles, siblings, cousins, grandparents and friends of the family. Monet was born in Brooklyn where she began her educational journey. However, she was soon relocated to Albany, NY where she was raised and met her friends and companions. This is where she blossomed into the beautiful bright spirit we knew and loved her to be.

Once landed in Albany, New York, Monet went to school while assisting with nurturing her nephews and nieces. She soon met friends that became family and loved ones. In October of 2013, she gave birth to her very own best friend her son, Isaiah Blessing Birmingham at a little over 10lbs, she finally found her soul mate.

Being such a young, bright and beautiful person, she was very loved. Monet loved her family, her friends, she loved to work, dress and do her hair and nails. She especially loved her son. They were inseparable. She loved to have a great time. She loved getting together with her people. She loved her nephews and nieces every last one of them and they loved her just as much. She was the aunt they could be themselves, open up to, laugh, joke, play and cry, she was one of a kind. Monet was a lot of peoples favorite. She had a few favorites of her own. Her favorite thing to do was listen to music, she was all about a vibe. Her favorite foods were baked mac n cheese, yam and baked ziti. Some would say her favorite color was pink, some would say purple. Her favorite song was a new joint she heard for the first time and fell in love with "Major Nine - "What's Love". She also loved her job at The Extended Stay America hotel, Albany, NY. Monet had such long beautiful hair and eyes they would have you mesmerized. You didn't know if they were honey brown, green or grey. Monet was an amazing person inside and out. She was so confident and kind she had a heart of gold. To some she was Monet a co-worker, to others a friend, but to us she was the baby of the bunch, the star in the sky, the rainbow at the end of the storm. She knew how to brighten up the darkest days.

She is survived by her only son Isaiah Blessing Birmingham; her mother Natasha Birmingham; step-father Hashim Davis; her mother-in-law NanNa; her sisters Nikeya, Catina, Danasha Birmingham; her brother Maleak Birmingham; her nephews Jaiden (Destiny- her little best friend) who was like her little brother, Damari her strong minded nephew, Jarod aka JahJah Birmingham; nieces Tiara, the first and boy was she gorgeous, Smya the dancing doll, Laniyah the diva in training, Simone the rebel and now the new addition the twins Ilise and India Birmingham; She leaves behind her aunts Chicanda and Tracy Birmingham; uncles Darrell, Thomas and Anthony Birmingham; cousins Saquan, Shaquana, Shanequua, Caream, Amia, Tariq, lil Darrell Birmingham; her best friends Danielle, Ashley and Brandy. She will be missed greatly.
