ALBANY - Monica M. "Bonnie" DeSorbo, 73, passed away on Friday, December 22, 2006 at St. Peter's Hospital, surrounded by her loving family.
Bonnie was born on June 12, 1933 in Chateaugay, NY and was the daughter of the late Charles and Ethel Ploof Bergevin. She has worked for the past 20 years as a bookkeeper at Arlene's Artist Materials in Colonie. She was a member of Blessed Sacrament Church in Albany and the Ladies Auxiliary at the Italian American Community Center on Washington Ave. Ext. She participated in several activities including bocce and the Red Hat Society. She also enjoyed traveling.
Bonnie is survived by her brother, Robert C. Bergevin and his wife Raemarie of Albuquerque, NM and her sister, Shirley A. Gray and her husband Robert of Albany. Bonnie is the aunt of Cheri (Joe) Herald and Robert Gray, Jr., all of Albany and great aunt of Nicole and Amanda Herald. Several nieces and nephews in New Mexico also survive.
Funeral services Wednesday 8:00 a.m. at New Comer-Cannon Family Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Road, Colonie (Rt. 155-south of Central Ave.) then to Blessed Sacrament Church, corner of Central Ave. and Colby St., Albany, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Our Lady of Angels Cemetery, Colonie. Calling hours will be Tuesday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
