Schenectady- James S. McGrath , 67, passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 7, 2016. James was born in Lakawana, NY, on June 18, 1949 to the late Kenneth and Ida McGrath. He was the devoted husband to Ruth L. McGrath.
James spent his career in the U.S. Air Force at the Bergstron Air Force Base (Austin, TX) as a Master Sergeant.
James is survived by his siblings: Edward, Lynn, Donna, Thomas, Timothy, and his dog Moses.
In addition to his parents, James is predeceased by his siblings; Kenneth, William, and Dennis.
Calling hours will be held at New Comer Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Albany, New York on Wednesday August 17, 2016 from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm. A funeral service will be held Wednesday August 17, 2016 at 12:00 pm at New Comer Funeral Home. Entombment will follow the service at Saratoga National Cemetery.
