On September 10, 1942 in Pahokee, Florida the Lord blessed our lives with a sweet child and her parents named her Myrtice Louise
Jackson.
Myrtice was the fourth of six children born to the late Carrie Seaverson Jackson and Hezekial Jackson. Myrtice attended East High School, Pahokee, Florida. Myrtice attended Church of God In Christ in Pahokee with her parents. She was a member of Metropolitan Baptist Church, Albany, New York and attended regularly until her health failed. Myrtice relocated to Albany, New York and was employed by the Veterans Administration Hospital and Memorial Hospital for several years. Also Myrtice was a small business owner. Myrtice loved being a homemaker and taking care of kids.She was the proud mother of five children; four sons and one daughter. Myrtice was married for 38 years to the late Loran Dean. Myrtice loved home and spending time with family and friends. She also loved working crossword puzzles and reading.
Myrtice peacefully transitioned from this life to life everlasting on Thursday, June 4, 2020.
Myrtice is preceded in death by her husband, Loran Dean; two sons, John Lee Dean, Gregory Jackson; her parents, Carrie Lee Jackson and Hezekial Jackson; two sisters, Maude Jackson and Mildred Madison; one brother, Willie Jackson.
Myrtice is survived by two sons, Loran (Nathasha) and Keyon and one daughter Angie Dennis (Davon) of Albany, New York; one daughter-in-law, Simonett Jackson, Ft. Lauderdale, Florida; eleven grandchildren, Gregory Jr., Xavier, Simone, Sienna, Jordan, Layden, Victoria, Cheyenne, Nevaeh, Da'zyiah, and Jayonna of whom she partially raised. Two Sisters, Retha Jackson, Rochester, New York, Dorothy Rhodes, Pahokee, Florida; one brother, Hezekiah Jackson, Jr. (Lois) Pahokee, Florida; in-laws, Henton Dean III, Cordele, Georgia, Lloyd Dean (Patricia) Atlanta, Georgia, Larry Dean (Selma) West Melbourne, Florida,Mary Helen Dean, Cordele,Georgia, Clementine Johnson (Pastor RJ) McDonough, Georgia, Jewel Williams, Union City, Georgia, Phyllis Nelson, Macon, Georgia, and Pastor Diane Dean, Cordele, Georgia. She is survived by several nieces and nephews, family and cherished friends.
