ALBANY-Nahjayyah Daise, 21, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, June 3, 2018.
She was born on December 10, 1996 daughter of Bryant Daise and Tryphina Ramsey.
Nahjayyah was educated in the Albany City and Lansingburgh Central School District and graduated from Capital Region BOCES in 2015. She worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant at the Vanderheyden Hall in Troy, NY, and as a Banquet Server at the Albany Renaissance Hotel.
She enjoyed cooking, baking, swimming, playing video games, jet skiing and go-carting. She had a passion for dogs and enjoyed spending time with her nephew, Kareem.
She is survived by her parents, Tryphina Ramsey her brother Najee Daise, and sister Khadajah Ramsey-Gross, fourteen additional siblings Tahir Lewis, Dumel Tucker, Jaquetta Exum, Rafiq Shaheed, Rashaad, Ahijhanay, Amari, Quamiere, Aaliyah, Lee'Ann, Shalayah, Ashanti, Jaquan, and Bryant Daise, Jr. Special brother Lequan Griffen, and a host of aunts, uncles, and cousins. Nahjayyah was predecesed by her grandparents Jeanette Ramsey and David King.
A funeral service to celebrate Nahjayyah's life will be held on Thursday, June 14, 2018 at 12:00pm at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 343 New Karner Rd., Albany NY 12205. Visitation will be from 10am-12pm on Thursday prior to funeral services. Interment will be held at Graceland Cemetery following services.
