Nancy Margaret Irene Busher, 70, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 5, 2025, at Samaritan Hospital, surrounded by her loving family. Born to the late James and Catherine (Bacon) Busher, Nancy’s life was one filled with kindness, dedication, and a deep commitment to her family and community.

Nancy is survived by her children, Rebecca (Eric) Shevy, Frank (Nicolle) Ferraro, Sarah Ann (Steven) McOmber, and Tracey (Tony Newman) Busher; her cherished grandchildren Jacob (Alyssa) Taylor, Andrew Shevy, CJ Warner, Lucas McOmber, Riley Newman, Morgan Ferraro, Connor Ferraro, and Jack McOmber; her great-grandchildren, Chase and Cayden Taylor; and bonus grandchildren Hunter, Ava, Tanner and Cameron. She was also the beloved sister of Kathleen (Joseph) Connors, Marie Carroll, and Jamie (Mark) Phillips.

In addition to her immediate family, Nancy is survived by many loving cousins, nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews who were a special part of her life.

In her professional life, Nancy made a significant impact as an environmental specialist at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI), where she worked for over 20 years. Her dedication to her work was matched only by her devotion to her family.

Nancy's life was a testament to love, hard work, and a deep sense of caring for others. She leaves behind a legacy of warmth and generosity that will forever be remembered by all who knew her.

As we grieve the loss of our beloved, we will celebrate a life well-lived, filled with love, joy, and purpose. The family will host a celebration of life on May 4th at the Watervliet-Colonie Elks to celebrate Nancy, and the lasting memories she leaves behind. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to a charity of your choice in Nancy’s memory.

She will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing her. Rest in peace, Nancy; you will never be forgotten.
