WATERVLIET - Nancy J. Constable, 81, passed away on Wednesday, May 5, 2021.
Born on April 4, 1940 in Kingston, NY to the late Joseph and Rosalie (Miller) Davis.
Nancy was a life member of VFW Woman's Auxiliary Post 729 as well as previous member of Schuyler Heights Ladies Auxiliary. She was an avid book reader, loved drawing and writing short stories or just sitting watching the outdoor birds. She enjoyed spending time with not only her family but her beloved pets as well. When not babysitting she would work at the Jermain Memorial Presbyterian Church in Watervliet running the Thrift shop, rummage sales, and bible schools. She had enjoyed attending services at the Good Shepherd Church of Green Island.
Nancy is survived by her loving husband of 63 years, Francis Constable; her sister, Diana Wells (George); her son, Francis Constable Jr. (Laurie), her daughters, Veronica Kolkhorst (Arthur), Barbara Castle (Michael), and Emily Constable; her cherished grandchildren, Jennifer Gunwaldsen (Justin), Nicholas Constable, Laura Lee (Michael), Kayla Demarest, and Michael Castle Jr.; her adored great grandchildren, Mason and Ava Lee, Mackenzie and Cyrus Gunwaldsen; as well as several nieces and nephews from the Kingston area.
Calling hours will be Monday, May 10th from 11am - 1pm followed by a memorial service at 1pm at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 181 Troy Schenectady Road, Watervliet, NY.
In lieu of flowers, we ask that a donation be made in her name to either the Mohawk Hudson Humane Society, 3 Oakland Ave., Menands, NY 12204 or the NENY Chapter of the Alzheimer's Association, 4 Pine West Plaza #405, Albany, NY 12205.
