Nancy Kate Marshall

Troy- Nancy Kate Marshall, 87, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 8, 2023 with her loving family by her side. She was the daughter of the late William Williams and Gladys Smith. Nancy was the devoted wife to Charles " Charlie" Wesley Marshall. They were married 65 years.

Nancy worked for many years as a secretary for the principals of Shaker High School and Lansingburgh High School where she found friendship in her coworkers.

Nancy enjoyed spending time with her entire family and loved cooking and shopping for them. In her younger years, Nancy enjoyed camping in Lake George and at Sacandaga Lake with her family and friends. Nancy was an avid golfer who enjoyed playing with coworkers and friends. She enjoyed spending her time going on cruises as well as vacationing in Florida. Later in life, Nancy was a proud member of The Red Hats and enjoyed volunteering with her husband Charlie at Proctors Theater in Schenectady.

In addition to her husband, Nancy is survived by her children, Charles "Wes" (Debra) Marshall and Todd (Barbara) Marshall; and was "Nanny" to her grandchildren, Jason (Avery Fortin) Chura, Ryan Marshall, Olivia Marshall, and Chloe Marshall; and many friends.

In addition to her parents, Nancy is predeceased by her siblings, Barbara Jewett and Douglas Williams.

Calling hours will be held at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 181 Troy Schenectady Rd., Watervliet, New York on Monday March 13, 2023 from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm with a funeral service to follow at 12:00 pm. Burial will immediately follow the service at Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery, Schuylerville, New York.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Nancy's name to Alzheimer's Association, 8180 Greensboro Drive, Suite 400 McLean, VA 22102.
