LOUDONVILLE-Nancy J. Neill, 83, of Loudonville passed away on Saturday, February 2, 2013 after a long illness. She was born in Plattsburg, NY on January 4, 1930, the daughter of the late Walter and Violet Thayer. Nancy was employed by the State Department of Taxation and Finance in data entry.
Nancy was an avid sports woman, who enjoyed many sports including bowling and golf. The GBS she suffered in her legs affected her playing sports in her later years. She attended St. Mary's School for the Deaf in Buffalo, NY. Nancy was a lifelong member of the Northeast Deaf Citizen, Fraternal Society, Capital Association and the Albany Silent Sports Club.
Nancy was the beloved wife of Robert D. Neill, devoted mother of her daughter Margaret Ryan and son in law, Patrick Ryan. She is also survived by her two grandsons Daniel and Kevin and by several nieces and nephews.
A calling hour will be held from 10:00 to 11:00 AM on Friday, February 8, 2013 at Christ Our Light Catholic Church, 1 Maria Drive, Loudonville with a Mass of Christian Burial to immediately follow at 11:00 AM at the church.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Heart Association, 440 New Karner Rd. Albany, NY 12205 in memory of Nancy.
