Nancy A. Petrecky

Colonie- Nancy A. Petrecky, 67, passed away peacefully with her husband by her side on December 8, 2016 at the Hospice Inn at St. Peter's Hospital in Albany. The daughter of the late William and Margery (Studer) Barbour, Nancy was born on November 28, 1949 in Sodus Point, NY. She moved to the Albany area in 1975 and began her career as an Administrative Assistant for AYCO in Albany. She retired after 38 years of faithful service. In her free time, Nancy liked to try her luck at Turning Stone Casino and the Racino in Saratoga. Nancy enjoyed vacations with her grandchildren and family. She was a cat lover and will be missed by "Rachel."

She is survived by husband of 18 years, Richard A. Petrecky; her son Eric (Sheri) Bond; her siblings: Harold (Lorraine) Barbour and Diane Barbour; her beloved grandchildren: Austin, Wesley and Alyssa; her sisters-in-law: Barbara Barbour, Donna Petrecky and Sandy Petrecky; her BFF Judy Banach; her Besties: Liz, Josie and Shirley as well as several extended family members and her many close AYCO friends.

In addition to her parents, Nancy was predeceased by her brother, William Barbour.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday April 8, 2017 at 12:30pm at New Comer Funerals & Cremations, 343 New Karner Road, Colonie. Visitation will precede the service from 10 am to 12:30 pm at the funeral home. Burial will be private.
