Nancy Carol Stancil

SCHENECTADY- Nancy C. Stancil, 90, of Schenectady, died on September 8, 2022.

Born in High Point, NC on July 22, 1932, she was the daughter of the late Otho and Patsy Ramseur. Nancy was a graduate of William Penn High School in High Point, NC.

Together Nancy and her husband Willie moved to Albany in the late 1940's and later to Schenectady in 1967.

Nancy loved spending time with family and grandchildren, hosting parties and 4th of July cookouts. She also enjoyed traveling. She will be remembered as a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Nancy would open her home to anyone that needed a place. She and her husband owned Stancil's Beauty Salon where Nancy worked as a beautician and and Stancil's Barbershop where Willie worked as a barber.

Throughout her life, she took in for and cared for many people. She loved feeding people and at her house, everyone was welcome. It did not matter who you were, in Nancy's home you were family.

Nancy was predeceased by her beloved husband of 68 years Willie T. Stancil "Stint" and their son Willie Jr.

Survivors include loving children, Terry Stancil, Reginald Stancil; grandchildren, Octavia, Guy, Shanaya, Kayla, Reginald Jr., Anyee, Meeko, Mayling, Evander, Percey; great-grandchildren, Jeremiah, Dere'on, Daniel, A'Mei and Kameron in addition to a host of other nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Calling hours will be held on Thursday, September 15, 2022 from 9-11am. Services will begin at 11am.
