Lee- Nancy Savaria Warden, 72, passed away on Thursday, February 16, 2006 at the Teresian House in Albany, NY. Born in Feeding Hills, MA, she was the daughter of the late Honore and Frances (Roberts) Savaria. Nancy was committed to not only her family but to many civic organizations. They included the Lee VNA, Lee Public School Building Committee, Lee Library Children's Story Hour, American Red Cross Blood Drive, as well as many activities at the St. Mary's Church in Lee. Her hobbies included knitting, ceramics, playing the organ, antiquing and gardening. At the time of her illness Nancy was employed at the Sisters of Visitation Monastery in Tyringham, MA. Nancy is predeceased by her brother Theodore Savaria, her sister Martha Savaria Carduff, and her former husband Frederic A. Warden, Jr.
Nancy is survived by her sons, Clifton H. Warden of Mesa, AZ, Frederic A. Warden III of Colonie, NY, her daughters, Katherine A. Warden of Greenwich, NY, and Susan F. Warden of Lee. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Michael, Mark and Matthew Warden, Andrew, Anthony and Adam Giarolo, Elecia Warden and Frederic (Ricky) Warden IV, her great-grandson Logan Warden, her cousin Mary Lou Paquette and many nieces and nephews. She was much loved by her daughter-in-law Catherine Warden, her daughter Katherine's fiancee, David Waldron, her sister-in-law Jean Savaria and brother-in-law Wendell Carduff.
A memorial Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, February 25th at 11:00 AM at St. Mary's Church, Lee. There will be no calling hours. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Lee VNA, High Street, Lee, MA 01238, Lee Library, 100 Main Street, Lee, MA 01238 or a charity of one's choice in memory of Nancy Savaria Warden.
