Nancy Zinnershine, 79, of Colonie, passed away peacefully on July 18.
Born March 11, 1941 in Liberty NY, she grew up in her parents boarding house, the late Russell and Kathleen Hill.
She graduated from Liberty High School in 1959 before going on to Albany Business College.
Nancy worked for New York Telephone/AT&T for many years, which took her on the road, quite often to Vermont, a state she loved. Although she retired from there, she went back to Cellular One/AT&T to keep busy.
Nancy was a lifetime member and past president the Ladies Auxiliary at the Colonie VFD. She was on the Liberty High School reunion committee, and she enjoyed working at the polling places during the elections.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her brother Joseph Hill.
She is survived by her loving husband of 48 years, Barry Zinnershine, son Stephen (Laurie) Zinnershine, grandchildren whom she adored, Lily and Ruby Zinnershine, sister Mary Dorsey, Alice Paquin, best friend Elaine Russell, her daughter Kim (Len) Russell, as well as many nieces and nephews, and her granddog Sadie.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
