Albany- Naomi Green,94, passed away peacefully, January 23rd 2015, at the Guilderland Center Nursing Home. Naomi grew up in Savannah, GA before moving to Albany, New York. Naomi was the wife of the late Isiah Green Sr. of Savannah, GA.
Naomi was a head chef at Suny Albany in the Brubacher Hall for more than 30 years. She loved to cook for family and friends and would feed everyone. She was very close with her family and especially enjoyed being with them around Christmas time. Naomi was a stylish dresser and loved shopping.
Naomi is predeceased by her sons Isiah Green Jr. , Donald Green, and a grandchild; Yvette Boddie.
She is survived by her daughters; Vivian Green of Albany, Doris (James) McKay of Charlotte, NC, Margaret (Joseph Boddie) Green of Albany and Selena Gordon (Cossie) of Delmar. She is also survived by her grandchildren; Penny Mincey of Delmar, Malcom Cobb of Albany, Kim Lisinicchia and Joseph Miller of Albany. Naomi also leaves behind her great-great-great grandchildren; Marcel Youngs of Troy, Monae Branch of Albany, Shabay Green of Albany, Malcom Cobb, Shaquanda Cobb and Leeonda Boddie and several great-great-great-great grandchildren.
Services will be at the convenience of the family.
