Naomi Smith

Albany- Naomi L. Smith, 92, of Albany passed away Thursday, September 25, 2014 at the Stratton VA Medical Center in Albany. Bunny was the oldest daughter to the late John T. Walker and Edith Walker.

Bunny is reunited in heaven with John T. Walker Jr. , Florence Thompson, Alfred Walker and Charles Walker. Bunny is survived by her sisters Mamie Guy and Mary Ellen Rose. Bunny is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Bunny proudly served our country with The Woman's Army Corps where she served in the Air force during World War II.

Bunny retired after 30 years working for the New York State Equalization and Assessment Agency. Bunny was known for always having a smile and always putting others first. She enjoyed hosting parties and having the entire family together. Those that knew Bunny knew that she was an avid bingo player and could be found playing frequently. Bunny will be deeply missed by all that knew her.

In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to the Feed the Children Program ( PO Box 36, Oklahoma City, OK 73101- 0036) in Bunny's name.

Calling hours will be Saturday, October 4th from 10:00am to 12:00pm at New Comer Cannon Funeral home with a service following the calling hours.
