Neal D. Scott

SCHENECTADY – Neal D. Scott, 68, of Schenectady passed away unexpectedly on Sunday September 22, 2024 at Albany Medical Center.

He was born on May 16, 1956, the only son of the late Thomas Henry Scott and Sylvia (Bailey) Scott.

Neal was a big kid with a heart of gold. He was truly a kindhearted and loving person who would give the shirt off his back to anyone who needed it. He loved life, his family, cartoons, and Marvel comics.

He is survived in loving memory by his wife of 23 years, Lori; his children, Travis (Kelly) and Brittney (Matthew) and their fur baby Ginger, who he adored; his surrogate daughter, Ashley; his granddaughters, Calista and Rianna, and his grandson, Ethan. He is also survived his brother in law, Andrew; sister in law, Maria, as well as his sisters, Candace and Andrea, and many nieces, nephews, cousins, great grandchildren, and his beloved cats, Abby and Simba.

Neal was predeceased by his parents; his sister, Carol; his nephew, Xavier; and his best friend and brother Mike.

Visitation will be held from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm with a celebration of life to immediately follow at 7:00 pm at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 343 New Karner Road, Colonie, NY.
