Clifton Park- Nelson A. Walter, 84, passed away peacefully on Monday, April 11, 2022 with his loving family by his side. He was the son of the late Nelson Walter and Mildred Puccini. Nelson was the devoted husband to Dolores Walter. They were married 57 years.
Nelson enjoyed spending time with his entire family and loved spending time at the race track. He was an avid collector of sports memorabilia and police badges. Nelson had a fond love of gardening and spending time outdoors. He had a keen eye for decorating and interior design. Nelson will always be remembered for his unforgettable charismatic personality as well as his expert barbering skills.
In addition to his wife, Nelson is survived by his children, Danielle E. Walter and Roric J. (Nicole LaFata) Walter, Sr.; grandchildren, Garrett R. Meyers, Marilyn E. Meyers, and Roric J. Walter, Jr.; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.
A service will be held at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 181 Troy Schenectady Road, Watervliet, New York 12189 on Saturday April 16, 2022 at 2pm.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Nelson's name to St. Jude's Children's Hospital at https://www.stjude.org/donate/
