Nettie Mae Jordan

SLINGERLANDS - Nettie Mae Jordan, 55, of Krumkill Road, Slingerlands passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 9, 2012 at St. Peters Hospital following a long illness. She was surrounded by her loving family.
The daughter of Fred and Frankie Lee (Alexander) Jordan, Nettie was born in Chicago, Illinois on October 24, 1956. Nettie was one of four children born to Fred and Frankie. She is survived by her two brothers, Albert Ross Jordan (Barbara) and Fred Jordan (Shirley) of Albany and two sisters Debra Warfield of Chicago and Linda Alexander of Albany. She is also survived by Brenda Robinson, a cousin and special friend. She is also survived by her favorite Uncle James Alexander of Albany and Aunt Minnie Walley of Fort Lauderdale, Florida and three uncles, Samuel, Henry Lee and Raphael Alexander all of Albany. Nettie was predeceased by her parents, her sister Dorsine Inniss and her favorite Auntie Desie Mae Hughes. The family sends their appreciation to Peggy Conners.
Nettie attended Albany County Schools and worked at New Visions of Albany. Nettie enjoyed attending church, singing, and especially enjoyed time with her family. Nettie was baptized at the Union Missionary Baptist Church in Albany, where she was a member.
Funeral services will be held at 12 noon Tuesday at the Union Missionary Baptist Church, 3 Morton Avenue, Albany, with the Reverend Victor Covington presiding. Family and friends are invited to attend. Interment will be at Graceland Cemetery following the service.
