Nicholas Anthony Poleto, 36, passed away suddenly on Friday, November 10, 2023, while he was at a rehabilitation center near Boston, battling addiction.
Nick was born in Albany on August 9, 1987. He graduated from Colonie Central High School in 2006. Nick was a very loving and caring son and a pleasure to be around. He always offered to help around the house with whatever he could. He was very intelligent and had a great personality. He was an avid NY Yankees and Giants fan. He loved playing baseball, football, and basketball while growing up. He also played on the ten-year-old Colonie Little League, State Championship team, and The Colonie Central High School baseball team that won sectionals in 2006.
He loved playing with his nieces and nephews and supporting them in their sport activities. In the last several years, he also found a love for golfing. Nick also enjoyed skiing, landscaping and weed whacking. His favorite times were vacationing with his family to Seaside Heights, Florida and Aruba. We will miss Nick dearly, and we will cherish the memories, pictures, and videos.
Nick is survived by his parents, Frank and Jennifer Poleto, his siblings, Joseph (Dominique) Poleto, and Marisa Poleto; his grandmother Elaine Delanoy, his nephews Jyson and Austin Poleto, niece Frankie Jean Furbeck, and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was predeceased by his grandparents, John Poleto, Norma Poleto, and William Delanoy.
