Nicholas Sabatino

COLONIE – Nicholas (Nicky) Sabatino, 90, passed away on Sunday October 4, 2009 at St. Peters Hospital. He was born in Albany and was the son of the late Michael and Carmela Sabatino.
Nick served his country in the US Army during WWII. He worked for Sabatino Trucking and more recently with Vellano Bros in Latham from where he retired. Nick was an avid New York Yankee fan. His greatest joy was to be with his loving family.
He was predeceased by his wife, Angeline Sabatino. Nick is the beloved father of Carol (Philip) Laraway, Martin (Janice) Sabatino and Donna Sabatino. He is the cherished "Pa" to Kevin (Gina DePaulo) Laraway, Kristin (Dan) Rivett, Michael (Luciana) Sabatino, Matthew (Brenda McHarg) Sabatino and Scott Sabatino. He is the great grandfather of Adrianna Laraway, Gianna Sabatino, Zachary and Shane McHarg, Danilee and Joseph Rivett and the late Rocco and Kevin Laraway-Rivett. He is the brother of Antoinette Fragomeni and the late Rose Zaccardo, Philip, Martin, Anthony and Joseph Sabatino, Filomena Kelly and Theresa Hart. Many nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services will be Thursday morning at 10:00 at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd. Colonie then to St. Ambrose Church, Latham at 11:00 where the Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Calling hours will be Wednesday from 4 to 8 pm at the funeral home. Entombment will follow the Mass at St. Agnes Cemetery, Menands.
