COLONIE - Nicholas "Nick" J. Venetz, 49, passed away suddenly on Saturday, September 26, 2009.
Nick was born on October 20, 1959 in Albany and was the son of the late Domonick and Elizabeth (Dames) Venetz. He worked as a master technician and construction worker all of his life. He was an avid NASCAR fan and enjoyed, fishing, boating, camping and racing - especially with his son, Steve.
Nick is survived by his loving children, Todd (Mckenzie) Venetz, Steven Venetz and Nichole Venetz; his cherished grandchildren, Joey and Isabella; and several sisters, brothers, nieces and nephews. Nick is also survived by his loving soul mate, Denise Bucher and his pride and joy, Kia.
Funeral services will be held at 7:00 p.m. Wednesday at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd. Colonie (Rt. 155-south of Central Ave.). Calling hours will precede the service on Wednesday from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
