Nicole Hinz

March 3, 1983 — April 21, 2021

On April 21, 2021, a brilliant, sparkling light went out in this world. Nicole (Nikki) Marie Hinz, 38, passed tragically while giving birth to her beautiful, amazing son, Felix Nicholas Hinz-Rasnick. Nikki was born in Hudson NY on March 3, 1983. She is the daughter of Nancy Baxter Hinz of Albany and Eric (Rick) Hinz of Ancram.

Nikki was a lifelong learner graduating in 2013 from Columbia Green college with an Associates degree in Behavioral Social Science. During her time at Columbia Greene Community College she was inducted into the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society, as well as making the Dean's List and the President's List. She was immensely proud of these accomplishments, and was currently pursuing her real estate license.

Nikki had many interests including camping, travelling, music festivals, poetry and so much more. She looked forward to sharing her passions with Felix and had already planned his first camping trip, first festival and his first trip to the beach.

She was currently employed by Hudson Valley Ceremonies, Karnival of Arts Music Festival's security company, Instacart, as well as running her own housekeeping business.

Besides her son and her parents Nikki is survived by her soul mate Brett Rasnick of Albany and his entire family, stepdad Douglas Deitch, paternal Grandparents, Josephine Haug and Ronald Hinz, Grandmother Janet Deitch, Stepparents Mitchell Keyes of Albany and Cheryl (Lasko) Hinz of Ancram, Grandparents Alexander and Paula Lasko, her sister and brother-in-law, Mandi Deitch Lawson and Josh Lawson of Hudson, her nieces and nephew, Trinity, Chase and Mila Lawson, her brother's Derek Sigler and Devon Rueger, step-sisters Tasheka Keyes, Aisha Stasack, Step brothers, Melisha Keyes and Jermaine Keyes, her cousins (brothers from another mother), Matthew and David Garren of Staatsburg, and her favorite littles, great-nieces Adelaide and Audrey Garren and great-nephew Michael Garren along with numerous aunts and uncles, cousins by the dozens and friends beyond counting.

Nicole will rest in peace alongside her predeceased grandparents, Bette (Sebeth) DeLease, Griffith and Marlene Baxter, Grandfather Harold Deitch, Great Aunt and Uncle Roxanne and David McCormick and cousin, Michael Garren.
