Nicole J. Grieves

COLONIE – Nicole J. Grieves, 27, of Colonie, passed away on Saturday June 4, 2011 at Sunnyview Rehabilitation Hospital as a result of a sudden brain aneurysm.
Nicole was born in Albany and is the beloved daughter of Donald E. and Vicki L. (Henderson) Grieves of Colonie. She is the cherished sister of Tyler Grieves. Nicole is the granddaughter of Franklin R. Henderson and Alice M. Henderson of Albany, and the late William T. Grieves and Joan Grieves.
Nicole was a graduate of Colonie High School in 2001, Maria College in 2004 and Siena College in 2007, where she earned a bachelor's degree in Accounting. She also earned a bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice through attending classes held by SUNY Plattsburgh.
Without question the things Nicole cherished above all were spending time with her family and being around her closest friends. She especially loved traveling to Walt Disney World and enjoyed frequent shopping trips on the weekend. Nicole loved being around and joking with her brother as well as playing with the family pet, Eekin.
She worked as a Senior Account Auditor with New York State Health Dept., division of EPIC . Previously employed at NYS Dept of Justice, Crime Victims.
Funeral services will be Friday morning at 10:00 at First Assembly of God Church, 477 Krumkill Rd. Albany. Calling hours will be Thursday from 4 to 8 pm at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd. Colonie. Interment will be in Albany Rural Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Mohawk Hudson Humane Society, 4 Oakland Ave., Menands, NY 12204 in memory of Nicole J. Grieves.
