COLONIE - Nicole R. Retajczyk, 68, called to the Lord on Saturday, May 27, 2017, at her home after a long illness. She was surrounded by her loving family.
Born in Montreal, Canada, the daughter of the late Leopold and Yvonne (Patry) Mercier, moved to Schenectady at the age of four. Survived by her loving husband of 46 years, David E. Retajczyk; her loving sons, Daniel (Sandra) Retajczyk and Mark (Crystal) Retajczyk; her cherished grandchildren, Priya, Aaron, Rosalee and Redmond; her siblings, Maurice (Rose) Mercier, Theresa (Bruce) Bowman and Michael Mercier; her sister-in-law, Karen Mercier and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother Guy Mercier.
In keeping with Nicole's wishes, there will be no calling hours. Nicole will be remembered during the 11:00 a.m. Mass on Sunday July 30, 2017 at St. Luke's Church. All are welcomed to attend.
Memorial contributions in Nicole's memory can be made to St. Luke's Building Fund, 1241 State St., Schenectady, NY 12304.
