COLONIE-White, Nina B., 91, of Colonie died peacefully on Wednesday, July 2, 2014 at the Teresian House with her son at her bedside as Jesus guided her home. Nina was born July 18, 1922 in Enfield CT. The daughter of Philip and Grace (Sferazza) Buscemi. She graduated from Enfield High school and was a former communicant of the St. Patrick church in Enfield and the St. Clare church in Colonie. The hard-worker that Nina always was, she was employed in a number of occupations and her favorite was Bay Path College in Longmeadow, MA from which she retired at the age of 65. She moved to Colonie in 2002 to be with her only son and her two grandsons whom she so cherished and they so loved. Predeceased by her husband Carl W. White; brother Barney Buscemi; brother-in-law Alphonse Gaetani and nephew Philip Buscemi. Nina is survived by her son, Jay, daughter-in-law Catherine, grandsons Christopher and Michael, sister Lillian Gaetani, nephews Joseph (Pam) and Frank (Lynn) Gaetani, Peter (Ann)Buscemi, and Jamie Buscemi, sister-in-laws Ora Buscemi and Millie White and niece Bonnie White. Along with nieces and nephews Jeffery (Elizabeth) Gaetani, Joseph (Rachel) Gaetani, Thomas (Andrea) Gaetani, Frank Gaetani, Lauren Gaetani, Godmother of Lindsay Gaetani, Godmother of Michael Buscemi and very special love to Uncle Jerry as well as many grand nieces and nephews whom she so loved and cherished. Relatives and friends are invited to attend calling hours on Friday, July 11, 2014 from 4 to 8 PM at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd. Colonie. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, July 12, 2014 at 11AM at St. Clares' Church, 1947 Central Ave. Colonie. Family and friends are invited to attend a prayer service will be held at 10 AM on Saturday at the funeral home prior to the Mass. The family would like to thank all the staff on the third floor B-Wing of the Teresian House for their love, dedication and care and for embracing Nina and loving her as family – we will be forever grateful to all of them.
