Noma L. Bocket
September 12, 1930 — July 11, 2023
PEARL RIVER – Noma L. Bocket, 92, passed away on July 11, 2023 following a brief illness.
She was born in Pearl River, NY on September 12, 1930 a daughter of the late Harry and Sayer Lauer. She attended Pearl River Central Schools and graduated from Pearl River High School.
Noma earned her Associates Degree from Orange County Community College.
She was very active in the Girl Scouts of America, the Ancient Order of Hibernians and Sweet Adelines.
She was predeceased by her husband, Robert John Bocket in 2007; and two brothers, Curt and Kenny.
Noma is survived by her four daughters, Jackie Kretser (Andy), Jo Aiello (Bill), Jeri Dinneen and Jami Rubin (Howard) and her brother, Ronnie Lauer. She is also survived by ten grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held from 9:30 am to 10:30 am with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 am on Thursday, July 20, 2023 at Christ the King Church, 20 Sumter Avenue, Guilderland. Interment will follow at 2:00 pm at Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery in Schuylerville.
