Nora Ruth

WATERVLIET-Nora Ruth, 88 passed away on Monday, May 19, 2014 at St. Peter's Hospital after a brief illness. She was born in Liverpool, England, the daughter of the late Albert T. and Muriel Marsh. Nora came to the United States, Albany area in the late 1940's. She was an animal advocate, I Love Lucy collector and a strong woman of faith. Nora was a homemaker who enjoyed spending time with her family.
Nora will be missed by her beloved daughters Verna (Bill) Luck, Joan Stapleton and Shirley Daly. She is also survived by her loving grandchildren Paula (Glen) Scholer, Denise Secor, David Luck, Amy Stapleton, Kerry Stapleton and Andy Stapleton and by her great grandchild Logan Scholer.
In addition to her parents, Nora was predeceased by her husband Joseph Ruth and by a son Mark Ruth.
Calling hours will be held from 9 to 11 AM on Saturday, May 24, 2014 at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd. Colonie with a funeral service to immediately follow at 11 AM.
Interment will be at Memory Gardens, Colonie.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the ASPCA in memory of Nora.
