Noreen J. Carnicelli

February 16, 1952 — December 21, 2011

GUILDERLAND – Noreen J. Carnicelli, 59, passed away on Wednesday, December 21, 2011 at The Hospice Inn at St. Peter's Hospital from breast cancer. She was surrounded by her loving family.
Noreen was born and raised in Albany. She was the daughter of the late Joan Leto Boisvert Hughes and Harvey Boisvert Sr. and daughter-in-law of the late Mary and Tony Carnicelli.
Noreen was currently employed as a business analyst at Empire Blue Cross for the past 26 years. She was a member of the NYS Baton Twirling Hall of Fame and led their Mardi Gras Parade in 1964. She was an accomplished licensed cosmetologist, a license real estate agent, travel agent, ran a small gold and diamond jewelry business. She was an accomplished building contractor and interior designer, building two homes and her beloved "Camp Workalot" at Caroga Lake. Noreen loved to travel to Paris, but her greatest love in life was her family. Loving, always helpful and with the largest most generous heart of all who knew her, she never refused an opportunity to help all who asked and many who didn't.
Noreen is survived by her devoted husband and best friend, Anthony "Tony" E. Carnicelli; her brothers, Harvey Boisvert Jr. (Sharon), Roger Boisvert (Laurie), Sean Hughes (Janel), Ulderic Boisvert (Rachael); her sister, Hollie Engwer (Eric); her stepmother, Sheila Boisvert Scholler; her stepbrother, William Schenmeyer; her sister-in-law, Cheryl Hildenbrandt (Thomas), her nieces and nephews, Jennifer Boisvert, Danielle Fernandez (Jason), Christina and Lizzie Boisvert, Zachary, Kate and Avery Hughes, Madison and Ulderic Boisvert, Ashley, Bradley and Cody Engwer and Kayla and Justin Hildenbrandt; her devoted cousins, Deborah Smith, Sharon Habiniak (George) Colleen Parker and many more too numerous to mention. Noreen is also survived by a host of very dear friends. Lastly, Noreen was predeceased by her devoted canine companion, Sage and her best friend, Linda Stuart. She was also was a special aunt to Linda's children, Matt, Casey, and Kelly.
Special thanks and appreciation to her cousin and guardian angel, Sharon Habiniak and her wonderful staff at M5 at Albany Medical Center.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday at St. Ambrose Church, Latham, all are welcomed. There will be no calling hours.
