Norine R. Nastasi

Colonie- Norine R. (Smith) Nastasi, 88, passed away peacefully on Monday, October, 31, 2022 which was one of her favorite "Holiday's" to celebrate. She was dressed up as an angel. Born in Glens Falls she was the daughter of the late George and Marion Smith. She is predeceased by her husband Salvatore Nastasi and her daughter, Connie R. Kennedy. Norine was the special granddaughter of the late Arthur and Lillian Tracy.

Norine attended Roessleville High School class of 1952. She was an avid roller skater performing in shows at the Hoffman's Skateland and also competing with her dance skating partners. After raising six children, she worked at St. Peter's Hospital for 22 years before retiring in 1997.

Norine is survived by her children; Bernard "Skip" VanDenburg III, Gail Petrecky (the late Jon), Gary VanDenburg (Karen), Chris VanDenburg (Lynn) and Scott VanDenburg (Paula). She will also be missed by her many many grandchildren and great grandchildren. She is also survived by Carol Colletti, Vincent Nastasi (Marge) and Maria Nastasi.

Norine is also predeceased by her siblings, Barbara Ferguson and Geraldine Cassibo.

Calling hours will be held Monday, November 7, 2022 from 10am-12pm at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie, NY 12205. A funeral service will begin at 12pm at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery.

With flower restrictions at Saratoga National, memorial contributions may be made to Community Hospice, a local animal shelter or a charity of your choice.
