Norma G. Stewart

COLONIE - Norma G. Stewart, 81, of Forest Drive, Village of Colonie, passed away July 25, 2015. She was born on August 3, 1933 to Homer P. and Nellie (June) Fancher.
Norma and her husband, Robert E. Stewart, and two young children, David and Kathryn, moved from Buffalo, NY to Colonie during 1960. Norma and "Bob" lived in the village of Colonie since that time. She graduated from Bolivar High School during 1951 and she and Robert were married on September 20, 1952 at St. Mary's Church, Bolivar, NY by Reverend Harry Farrell.
She is preceded in death by her brother, Jack P. Fancher and sisters, Dorothy H.Weber and Dawn Fancher. Norma's surviving family includes, husband of 62 years, Robert E. Stewart; children, David B. (Janice) Stewart, Kathryn R. (Carl) Panzarella, Thomas G. (Elizabeth) Stewart, Christine A. Stewart, and Julia D. Stewart; her brothers, Harlan (Jenny) Fancher, and Keith Fancher. She is also survived by ten grandchildren, three great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 11:30 a.m. Thursday at New Comer Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Road, Colonie. Calling hours will precede the service from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. Burial will follow the service at the Gerald B. H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery in Schuylerville.
