Norma J. Maye

ALBANY - Norma Jean Maye, 55, passed away on Monday, August 20, 2012 at St. Peter's Hospital in Albany NY.
Norma was born on June 30, 1957 in Albany and was the daughter of the late Willard and Mary (Robinson) Williams.
Norma worked as a counselor for Rehabilitation Support Services in Albany for many years. She enjoyed solving crossword puzzles, playing card games, sewing, reading, cooking, baking and watching reality television, but most especially spending time with her family.
Norma is survived by her loving children, Irron, Tamica (Thilden), Roland Jr., Rolonzo (Renee), Lola (Kevin) and Takea; her God Daughter, Cashay; her cherished grandchildren, Emani, Jasmine, Micah, Lonzo and Keviana; her siblings, ElJean, Willard, Arlethia, Karen and Cynthia; and her mother figure, Mae. She is also survived by many cousins, nieces, nephews, friends and loved ones. She was predeceased by her husband, Roland Maye Sr. and her brother, Waymon Williams.
A funeral service will be held at 12 noon Monday at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Road, Colonie NY 12205. A calling hour will precede the service from 11 a.m. to 12 noon on Monday. Interment will follow the service at Graceland Cemetery in Albany.
