Norma Waldbillig, 84,passed away on February 20, 2024 at her home in Glenville, New York.
Norma was born on February 12, 1940 in Schenectady, NY. She was the daughter of the late Norman and Bernice Quick.
Norma graduated from Linton High School in Schenectady, NY. Thereafter, Norma went on to obtain her bachelor's degree from SUNY Albany. Norma worked as a substitute teacher in the local school districts until her retirement. Norma was a lifelong member of the Parish of St. Kateri Tekakwitha. In her spare time, Norma dedicated her life to her family and serving others, including but not limited to, volunteering at the Schenectady City Mission in a variety of roles.
Norma was predeceased by her husband, Charles Richtmeyer, and her daughter, Melanie (Chris) Cullen of Schenectady, NY.
Norma is survived by two children: Robert (Kim) Waldbillig of Amsterdam, NY, and Frederick Waldbillig of Boyston Beach, FL. Six grandchildren, Brian Miller of Schenectady, NY, Brett Miller of Buffalo, NY, Robert (Olivia) Waldbillig of Kansas City, MO, Christopher Waldbillig of Amsterdam, NY, Robert Waldbillig of Miami Beach, FL, and Lauren (Ben) Oscheske of Boca Raton, FL. Two great-grandchildren, Isaac Miller and Preston Miller of Scotia, NY. Norma is also survived by her three sisters, Carol (Michael) Finley of Pawley Island, SC, Bonnie Borst of St. Louis, MO, and Marcia Quick (Richard Piedmont) of Niskayuna, NY and several loving nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at the Parish of St. Kateri Tekakwitha, 2216 Rosa Road, Schenectady, NY 12309, on February 27, 2024, at 9:00am, with burial to follow at Memory Gardens, Colonie.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to any animal protective society of your choice.
