Norman F. Dennis, Jr. Md.

LOUDONVILLE, NY - Norman F. Dennis, Jr. MD, 82, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, March 25, 2010 at St. Peters Hospital surrounded by his loving family.
Norman was born in St. Albans, Vermont to the late Norman and Pearl Dennis. Norman graduated from the University of Vermont and the Vermont College of Medicine and was a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics. He was the first Fellow of Adolescent Medicine at Children's Medical Center of Boston, Massachusetts. Following which he practiced pediatrics for 26 years in the Albany area and later retired from S.U.N.Y. Albany as the Medical Director in 1991.
Norman is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Joan M. (Gassette) Dennis. He is the cherished father of Steven C. (Sheila) Dennis, MD and grandfather of Benjamin A. Dennis and Grant C. Dennis. He is also survived by his sister, Shirley A. (Donald) Hallisey and his adoring cats Mork and Mindy.
Funeral services will be Sunday at 5:00 pm at New Comer Cannon Funeral , 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie (Rt. 155-South of Central Ave). Calling hours will precede the service from 2 to 5 at the funeral home. Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family.
