ALBANY-Olive M. Kenyon, 84, of Albany, passed away on Tuesday September 26, 2006 at Our Lady of Mercy Life Center after a long illness. She was born in Albany and was the daughter of the late Joseph and Helena Smith.
She was a graduate of Albany Business College. Olive was employed for 25 years at Albany Memorial Hospital retiring in 1984 as Assistant Administrator. She was recognized by the Who's Who of American Business Women. Olive enjoyed spending her summers with her family and friends at Long Lake. She was a member of the Eastern Star and enjoyed many years of creating ceramics. She was a longtime member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Albany.
She was the wife of the late James Bromley and John Kenyon. Olive is the beloved mother of Marcia (Peter) Brenner, James Bromley and Jeanne Spinelli. She is the stepmother of Jack (Cynthia) Kenyon and the late Robert Kenyon. Cherished grandmother of Alicia (Jeff) Ostant, Deidre, Peter and Barbara Brenner; James (Priscilla) Bromley and Craig Bromley; Suzanne, Christina and Michael Spinelli and Michael Kenyon. She is also survived by 5 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be Friday at at NewComer-Cannon Family Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd. Colonie (Rt. 155-south of Central Ave). Calling hours will be Thursday from 5 to 7 pm at the funeral home. Interment will be in St. John's Lutheran Cemetery.
