Omenion Robinson, 83, passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 16, 2013 at St. Peter's Nursing and Rehab. She was born in Oglethorpe, GA to the late Will and Annie (Williams) Corley. She worked from 1956 to 1993 at Albany Medical Center and retired in 1993, and then she returned back to the hospital to work for a few more years. She enjoyed fishing, gardening, cooking and spending time with her family and friends.
In addition to her parents she was predeceased by her husband Matthew Robinson; her granddaughter, Jacquelyn; her son-in-law William Dobbs; her siblings, Willie Harris, Roberta Drayton, Mary J. Callens, Henry and Felton Corley.
She is survived by her beloved children, Wilbert L. (Claudette) Corley and Mary Alice Dobbs.
She is the adored grandmother of Duane, Danielle, Damon "Radio", Dante, DeShuna, Regina, Josie and 12 great grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister Sally (Emmett) Smith and a host of nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank the entire staff at St. Peters Nursing and Rehabilitation Center for all of their care, patience and kindness given to Omenion.
Funeral service for Omenion will be Wednesday, May 22, 2013 at 6:00 pm at the New Comer-Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie. A calling hour will precede the service from 5:00 pm to 6:00 pm at the Funeral Home. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family.
