Opal "Vickie" Vickery, 82, died peacefully, Wednesday August 31,2011 at The Hospice Inn at St. Peters Hospital, Albany.
She was the born in Armorel, Arkansas on October 14, 1928 daughter of the late Virginia (Hill) and Asa Brown Baker, Sr.
Loving Mother of Judy Kiesel and Jean Toombs, both of Albany. Cherished Grandmother of Christine Liebenau of Northgreenbush; Diane (Steven) Sorros of Colonie; Jason Liebenau of Athens; and Heather (Chad) Giaser of Medford, Oregon. Devoted sister to Ruby (Neff) Coney of Tennessee; Virginia (Marcello) Cantario of Illinois; William (Lois) Baker of Arizona; and Tom (Linda) Baker of Tennessee. Vickie was predeceased by her son Jimmy L. Vickery and siblings A.B. Baker, Jr., Fred Baker, Katherine Holland, and Jessie Baker; as well her sister in law Michaelene "Mickey" Baker.
She is also survived by seven great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Relatives and Friends may call on Tuesday September 6, from 5:00-8:00 pm. at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie. Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday at 11:00am at the Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Memory Gardens, Colonie.
