Orist F. Jenkins

ALBANY – Orist F. Jenkins, 77, of Albany, passed away on Wednesday at Albany Medical Center. He was born in Hawthorne, FL and was the son of the late Thelma Eversley.
Orist served in the US Air Force during the Korean War. He was an iron worker at the former Alleghany Steel Company. Orist was predeceased by his wife Dorothy in 2009.
He is the father of Pamela Jenkins, Kim (James) Johnson and Dorothea (Arthur) Jenkins-English. He is the step father of Otis Hall Jr. , Odessa Hall and Oliscia Williams. Orist is the brother of Cathrine Felder, Edmond O. Eversley Jr., Barry (Keith) Eversley and the late JC Jenkins. He is also survived by many grandchildren, nieces, nephews and best friend Charles Leary.
Funerals services will be Tuesday morning at 11:00 at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd. Colonie. A calling hour will precede the service on Tuesday from 10 am to 11 am at the funeral home. Interment will be in Saratoga National VA Cemetery.
