Otis A. Bunch Jr.

ALBANY - Otis A. Bunch Jr., 63, affectionately known as "Pop", passed away unexpectedly on December 26, 2023, at Albany Medical Center Hospital. Born in Laurel Mississippi on November 22, 1960, he was the oldest son of the late Otis Bunch Sr. and Maxine (Ellis) Bunch. Otis moved to Albany with his family at the age of three. He was educated in the Albany City School system and graduated from Albany High School in 1978. During his career, Otis was employed by the City and County of Albany, and ultimately, he retired from the State of New York.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his beloved partner Millicent Sanders; his children Shayjuan (Shan), Otis III, Natasha, and Te'osha; his grandchildren, Karashan, Shania, Tenaya, Keyari, London, Dylanne, Italia, Te'Ance, Rah-zir, Rahki, and Madyson. His siblings, Samuel (Beverly) and Jeanette (Lawrence); His aunts Virginia Keith, Ceretha Lawson, and Regina Lawson. A host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Otis is preceded in death by his parents and sister Mary Alston.

Calling hours will be held on Friday, January 5, 2024 from 9am-11am at Elijah Missionary Baptist Church, 70 Second Ave, Albany, NY 12202. A funeral service will begin at 11am at the church.

Interment will follow at Graceland Cemetery.
