Maki, Ottolina Francine
Albany – Ottolina Francine Maki, 93, passed away peacefully Saturday October 2, 2010 at the St. Peter's Hospice Inn after a long illness.
Ottolina was born in Castleton, NY June 10, 1917. After high school she moved to Albany, NY. Soon after, she met her husband of 54 years on a blind date. In 1957 she went to work for the State of New York Department of Tax and Finance. After approximately 20 years she retired. Upon retirement , Ottolina enjoyed traveling with her husband and spending time at their winter home in Florida. Ottolina also enjoyed spending time with her friends in her ladies home bureau. Ottolina is predeceased by her husband Eric Maki. She is the last living member of her siblings Cornelus Hoeting and John Hoeting.
Ottolina leaves behind her 3 children Deneen Parker, Jerilyn Arnold and Brian (Gloria) Maki, along with 10 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great-grandchildren all who lovingly referred to her as "Nana".
Funeral services only at Christ Lutheran Church Western Ave., Albany Wednesday at 12:00 noon. Calling hours will be Tuesday 4:00 to 7:00 pm at the funeral home. Interment will be in Mountain View Cemetery, Castleton, NY. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Christ Lutheran Church 1500 Western Ave., Albany, NY 12203.
