COLONIE – Pamela J. Picard, 45, of Colonie passed away on Friday, June 30, 2006, after a battle with diabetes and it's complications for several years. Born in Albany, she is the daughter of David and Nancy O'Donnell and Frank Ovitt, Jr. She worked as a cashier for many years at Price Chopper in Latham and also for Wal-Mart on Washington Avenue Extension. Pam was also an Avon dealer. In addition to her parents, she is the beloved wife of Thomas K. Picard. She is the sister of Frank, Richard, Gary and John Ovitt and Debbie Barkevich. Pam is the aunt of Marie Conti, Kim Ovitt, Holly Ovitt, Robert Barkevich, Peter Barkevich, Jeffrey Ovitt, Jared Ovitt and Frank Ovitt, IV. She is the niece of Richard Ovitt and Donald Briner. Pam is the daughter-in-law of Jean Picard. Also surviving are two great-nieces, one great-nephew, her special "adopted" sister, Colleen Sweet, five sisters-in-law and one brother-in-law. Pam will be remembered for her heart of gold, her love of family and friends, her devotion to her husband and her motherhood to Sarge, Suzie and Cuddles. Pam will now be reunited with her baby daughter Patricia and her grandparents, Abram and Lillian Ovitt and Viola and John Jeram.
Funeral services will be Monday morning at 11:30 at New Comer-Cannon Family Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie (Rt. 155-south of Central Ave). Calling hours will precede the service from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be in Albany Rural Cemetery, Menands.
